The merciless slaughter of the Midianites

Num. 31:15-18. "15. And Moses said unto them, Have ye
saved all the women alive? 16. Behold, these caused the
children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit
trespass against the Lord in the matter of Peor, and there
was a plague among the congregation of the Lord.17. Now
therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every
woman that hath known man by lying with him.18. But all the
women children, that have not known a man by lying with
him, keep alive for yourselves."

Korea's northern alliance wouldn't stoop this low! These
murdering, raping Israelites decided, by the wonderfully wise
and divine decree of Jehovah through Moses, that these
unused semen receptacles (also known as virgins to them),
should not only undergo the tragic loss of their entire race,
but have to marry their rapists afterwards. The married
and/or pregnant women would get the sword and some (the
virgins), would get the penis! If any army did this today, they
would face immediate trial, and possibly even death.


Slavery OK!

Exod. 21:20-21. "20. And if a man smite his servant, or his
maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall be
surely punished. 21. Notwithstanding, if he continue a day or
two, he shall not be punished: for he is his money."

Yeah, never mind how bad and demeaning it is to hit slaves
(or even have them). "He is his money." These are the
words of God. Can I get an amen?


Vindictive

Num. 25:3-4. "3. And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor:
and the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel. 4. And
the Lord said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people,
and hang them up before the Lord against the sun, that the
fierce anger of the Lord may be turned away from Israel."

The Lord had to actually see the hanging, decapitated
heads so that his anger could be appeased, just like the rest
of the pagan tribal war gods.


Witchcraft and chauvinism

Num. 5:12-21. "12. Speak unto the children of Israel, and
say unto them, If any man's wife go aside, and commit a
trespass against him, 13. And a man lie with her carnally,
and it be hid from the eyes of her husband, and be kept
close, and she be defiled, and there be no witness against
her, neither she be taken with the manner; 14. And the spirit
of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife,
and she be defiled: or if the spirit of jealousy come upon
him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be not defiled:
15. Then shall the man bring his wife unto the priest,
and...18. And the priest shall set the woman before the
Lord, and uncover the woman's head, and put the offering
of memorial in her hands, which is the jealousy offering: and
the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that causeth
the curse: 19. And the priest shall charge her by an oath,
and say unto the woman, if no man have lain with thee, and
if thou hast not gone aside to uncleanness with another
instead of thy husband, be thou free from this bitter water
that causeth the curse: 20. But if thou hast gone aside to
another instead of thy husband, and if thou be defiled, and
some man have lain with thee beside thine husband: 21.
Then the priest shall charge the woman with an oath of
cursing, and the priest shall say unto the woman, the Lord
make thee a curse and an oath among thy people, when the
Lord doth make thy thigh to rot, and thy belly to swell."

Primitive? Yep. Tribal? Yep. But this is just plain disgusting
and creepy too! I feel sorry for the mind(s) that were
depraved enough to be subject to write such words.


Barbarism

I Samuel 15:3. "Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly
destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both
man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel
and ass."

2 Samuel 4:12. "And David commanded his young men, and
they slew them, and cut off their hands and their feet, and
hanged them up over the pool in Hebron. But they took the
head of Ishbosheth, and buried it in the sepulchre of Abner
in Hebron."

Kill em all! That's how Yahweh thinks! David murdered two
men who tried to protect him by killing Saul who hated David!
And this is how David repays them!


Selling daughter

Exodus 21:7. "And if a man sell his daughter to be a
maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do."

Sell your daughter, aye? Just delightful!


Child abuse

2 Kings 2:23-24. "23. And he went up from thence unto
Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth
little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto
him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. 24. And
he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the
name of the Lord. And there came forth two she bears out of
the wood, and tare forty and two children of them."

God's ego was so bruised that he decided to kill children
who naturally mock and play! Efforts are made by apologists
to say that the world for "children" can be translated "young
men." If this is true, I must ask what young men would find
funny about a bald man to the extent that they mock him
publicly? This is something children, only small children,
would do, and thus, it shows how intolerant and ferocious
the god of the bible really is.


Torture

2 Samuel 12:31. "And he brought forth the people that were
therein, and put them under saws, and under harrows of
iron, and under axes of iron, and made them pass through
the brickkiln: and thus did he unto all the cities of the
children of Ammon. So David and all the people returned
unto Jerusalem."

If ever their was a barbaric individual, it was king David! He
made sure he tortured everyone he hated with saws,
shackles, axes, burning kilns, and who knows what else?
David was truly just like his god.


Animal cruelty

2 Samuel 8:4. "And David took from him a thousand
chariots, and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty
thousand footmen: and David houghed [humstrung] all the
chariot horses, but reserved of them for an hundred
chariots."

Cruelty to animals! That son of a bitch, David!


It's OK if foreigner dies

Deuteronomy 14:21. "Ye shall not eat of any thing that dieth
of itself: thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is in thy
gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto an alien:
for thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God. Thou
shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk."

It's OK to give the stranger diseased meat, but not your
brother?! One less pagan and one more Jew!


Horrible Murder

2 Chronicles 25:12. "And the other ten thousand left alive
did the children of Judah carry away captive, and brought
them unto the top of the rock, and cast them down from the
top of the rock, that they were all broken in pieces."

This is, well, horrible! Just horrible!
